Well, everyone reacted to stress differently. Matt definitely preferred his way. He stepped behind her and held her hair out of her face, rubbing her back gently with his other hand. He spoke to her gently, like he would a skittish horse, whispering a lot of nonsense, but it was the tone that mattered. "Shh now. Just...let it out. Things'll work out. That's it. Shh now. We need to get you home kid."

After up chucking her stomach practically she heard the kid part she didn't like it and hastly pulled her hair out of his hands and replied, [Thanks. I'm not a kid.] Now she was pissed. She was a little edgy right now and calling her kid wasn't to smart. Especialy when she was worried about him going to jail BECAUSE of her age. She untied Daisy and jumped on and just looked straight not looking at him pissed. What the hell was he thinknig calling her Kid. She wasn't she was mature then most 40 year olds and actually thought things through. Unlike this situation.

Okay, that hadn't been the smartest phrasing, but he hadn't meant anything by it. He called his middle aged gelding 'kid' half the time. He used it as an endearing term, usually with a nervous horse or sometimes, like now, a person who was scared out of her wits. He groaned as she latched onto that as a bone of contention. "No, you're not a kid, you're a beautiful young woman who stirs my blood like no other I've met. It's just a phrase, usually when I'm worried about someone, like now." He wasn't even thinking about the fact that she was ready to ride off without him and leave him to walk the two miles back to the ranch. And cowboy boots were pure H*ll for walking long distances.

She waited for him to get on silently. She felt bad now knowing he was just as nervious as she was but it wasn't like she could hide it and say it wasn't her baby. He could, unless a blood test was taken but she DEFFINTLY couldn't hide it. Sighing she replied, [Get on.] She rolled her amazing orbs at his reply. It was a lie, probably. [Don't lie.] She replied at it. She didn't want to marry him a force marriage if he didn't want to. Hell she didn't even know. Sighing she leaned forward and hugged Daisy's neck. Daisy was patient and seemed tto be so much calmer as if she knew. Sighing Trixie looked at the ground and exhaled as she looked to the sky almost tp cry agian but hid it.

Matt swung up behind her with ease, the warm back of the mare something familiar. Horses he never had trouble dealing with. He sighed and kissed the back of Trixie's neck gently. "I've never been much of a liar Trix. And I'm telling you now, you are gorgeous, you do stir my blood like no other, and things are going to work out, one way or another."

Slowly she felt his kiss on her neck as she elbowed him in the stomach. Not to hard but a warning. SHe was going to be ALOT different now. She wasn;t gonna probably have sex untilshe was older then 21 or married. She replied, [Don't. Thats how this all started. Aint a good time right now.] SHe remained quite as she told Daisy to go on to a walk. SHe felt his body but didn;t seem as bad as they came. She already had seen every part of him. If he was hiding something it wasn;t gonna be his body. Daisy walked slowly trying to be nice to Trixie feeling her anger and daness all at the same time.

It took a lot to break through Matt's cool, but that about did it. He was in this fix too. If she was pregnant, she'd be the one carrying the baby, but he'd be the one in jail or shot by Dan. He hadn't decided yet which of those he would prefer. He cursed under his breath. Walking might not be so bad, give him a chance to cool down, think this through. But he couldn't leave Trixie alone, not in this state. She hadn't been complaining when they'd had a good time and she'd been the one to ride out here in the middle of no where. If you had sex, you had to be aware of the consequences, not that he'd been expecting anything like this.

Trixie had known she pissed him off, but why. She was so scared. Scared shitless. Slowly she stopped Daisy and slid off. She looked at Matt and replied, [Fighting wont solve this Matt. I'm sorry nut you don't know how scared I really am. I mean Matt you could walk away from this all and lie about it and I can't I can't just magicaly say this aint my baby when I give birth to it, cuase I aint gonna have an abortion when it was my fualt and the baby shouldn't die from MY mistakes.] She emphisized my to him showing she was taking the blame for this all. She was scared shitless, did i mention? (lol)

Matt stayed up on Daisy, but slung one leg over, sitting on her like a bench. "D*mnit. Quit looking for blame, for whose fault it was. It wasn't your fault, it wasn't my fault, it was bad luck. Come on, if that condomn hadn't broken, you'd be back in your bed now, hopefully having sweet dreams about me. You don't even know you're pregnant. Just chill. And trust me. I'm not leaving. And I'm not gonna lie to cover my @ss at your expense."

[Chill?] Slowly she began to jog. Then began to run. Daisy watched her run and freaked that Trixie was leaving without her. Daisy knew the this boy on her was the reason for her hurting. Suddenly she got angry and knew he was vonerable sitting sideways on her back. SHe she began to bolt while letting a series of bucks, crazy bucks. Throwing her head and her back end went clear past her head as her front end then went up past her rump. SHe bolted torwards Trixie who was running full blast away from Matt wanting to be alone.

In that position, Matt just slid off at the first jump. Maybe they both just needed some time to soak everything in. Maybe things would look better in the morning. A big maybe. He sank down in the grass, lying down on his back and staring up at the sky. He sighed, staring up at the same stars his ancestors had stared at. Sometimes he thought he'd been born in the wrong generation.

Suddenly Daisy came galloping pretty fast and Trixie turned around expecting to see Matt on her back. Daisy slid to a stop to Trixie and Trixie looked around seeing no Matt. Franticly she looked around not seeing him. Turnig around she looked not seeing. She then ran to where Trixie had gotten off Daisy. Daisy followed Trixie. Trixie looked for Matt hoping he wasn't hurt. Not seeing him on the ground she was running and wasn't a good mix. Her boot hit his side and she went flying forward. And landed on the ground. Daisy followed of course and jumped over Matt then stoped where Trixie was and let her muzzle tickler her head. Trixie blew her hair out of her face and sat on her butt. Sighing she had no reason to come back to him.

Matt was staring blankly at the sky one minute and had a boot in his ribs the next second. "What the H*ll?" His body was used to taking punishment, falling from rank broncs, getting kicked, heavy lifting, but he was not expecting it now. "Trixie? You okay?"

With adeep exhale she looked at him seeing he was totaly fine and she was in more pain then he was. So she slowly replied with an annoyed way. [Yah I'm fine. I thought.. Never mind.] She stod up slowly as she hugged Daisy that seemed to love her more then he did at the moment. She dusted her pants off and then her shirt. Sighing she patted Daisy and looked at Matt very annoyed.

Matt sat up. Yeah, boiling point was reached. Fighting didn't solve things, but a vented spleen sometimes made you feel better. "I'm so f*cking confused. At this point, I don't even know what I've done." Some things about women would never make sense to him. A slight spasm of pain with each breath enlightened him to the fact that her boot had caught one of his ribs just right. With a life of falling off horses, he knew what it a cracked rib felt like. Couple of weeks and he'd be as good as new.
