Karen had heard that the tack shop was a favorite hang out of the cowboys, but that wasn't what motivated her trip today. Darby was about ready to be started under saddle and Surprise's wasn't big enough for him. Karen had been putting a little money aside the past couple months for a new saddle. She just needed an all purpose western saddle, nothing too fancy, but something that would last. She parked her big forest green F250 work truck and hopped out. Today she was in riding clothes, fitted blue jeans, a loose flannel shirt, and dusty brown cowboy boots.
She headed in and smiled a greeting to the person at the counter before heading straight over to the saddles. A lot of them looked hand tooled and a lot of them looked out of her price range. She needed something servicable, not flashy. Her showring days had ended years ago and she had no inclination to start again. If she did ever do any more competition, it would be barrel racing, and that didn't require fancy equipment. She found a couple saddles that were the size she needed and then narrowed her choice from there. She finally decided on a dark brown saddle with a seat that fit her perfectly. A little bit of riding would make it more comfortable. $850 wasn't bad for a nice saddle, even though she had bought Darby for less. She headed up to the counter to let them know which saddle she wanted to purchase.

Riley wasn't sure what brought him here he was mostly looking for his mother. then again he was enjoying the girls around here. he was only 18 but he looked older which was good. Wearing blue jeans with a black and white checked shirt he glanced around for a moment. he fitted pretty good here. hell he was even enjoying his day's off of fighting fires and nuts like that. smirking at that thought. he got into the happen of smirking unless he was around girls then he could be very charming if he wanted too.
Thinking about that for a moment he opened the door of the shop and slowly walked in. looking at the people in here he nodded to wards the person be hide the counter in a friendly way before slowly walking down around the stores not really sure what the hell to do with himself. he was of course just looking to see if his mother was around here. he was still shocked that she left her home town.. then again what he heard about her being attacked by another rapist and hiding be hide her home walls and a bunch of other crap the FBI told him he understood where she was coming from with having to be alone and forget her past..
Riley and his brother Darryl was already trying to find there one year old sister hoping to make there mother happy and also her the hole baker family back together. even if he didn't have a father anymore he still wanted the family to be happy. It was kinda sad how his uncle only liked his brother. then again he could once can understand. him with his charming smiles to that girl...Trixie. d**nit that was a pretty girl and Riley couldn't take his eyes off her when he was around her. shaking his head he picked up a rope looking at it for a moment he placed it down and walked around a tiny bit more. not seeing anything he walked over to the counter be hide this girl and glanced around. picking up some life savers just planning on buying that. it was kinda childish but whatever.

Karen turned to lead the cashier to the saddle she'd chosen and nearly ran into a brick wall. She hadn't realized anyone else had even come in the store. It wasn't a really busy place and she hadn't expected anyone to be waiting in line. "Oh my gosh! So sorry." He was cute. He looked a little younger than most guys she'd dated, but he was hot enough that it didn't matter how old he was. She smiled and stepped around him to point out the saddle.
